Grand Canyon Music Festival

Native American Composer Apprentice Project
The GCMF’s seminal education outreach project, Native American Composer Apprentice Project, culminates in a day long fair for students, families and the community with the new music ensemble ETHEL and composer-in-residence Raven Chacon. Concert at 4 p.m. at Grand Canyon Unified School of works by the Grand Canyon Music Festival’s Native American Composer Apprentice Project (NACAP) students.

Heralded by the Boston Globe as the “Master of the Harmonica, (whose) playing is something you have to hear to believe”, Grand Canyon Music Festival founder Robert Bonfiglio returns with his group “Bach Porch”, featuring Joe Deninzon - called by critics the “Jimi Hendrix of the violin” - and composer/vocalist/guitarist Chris Milletari. This year they will tie in with our “American Masterpieces” theme (see 9/19 and 20), performing songs by Bob Dylan and others.
