G
rand Canyon Music Festival 29th season from August 24, 2012, to September 8, 2012, with weekend and mid-week concerts in Grand Canyon National Park. The Festival will also conduct its education outreach programs, NACAP and School of Rock, to Grand Canyon School and to Native American reservation schools.

Grand Canyon Music Festival is an annual three-week series of concerts held in Grand Canyon National Park that emphasizes the broad diversity of chamber music, focuses on programming and presentation excellence, and celebrates the environment of this majestic World Heritage Site. Musicians of national and international standing are drawn to the Festival because of the high quality of musicianship, the sophistication of its leadership, and the inspiration of the Canyon itself.

Founded in 1983, the Grand Canyon Music Festival brings world-renowned artists to Arizona for performances, outreach, and education programs in rural and underserved Arizona communities, at affordable admission prices.

Since 1984, the Festival has served Native American communities within the state, including the Navajo, Hopi, Havasupai, and Pima Indian Reservations, the Heard Museum, and Scottsdale Community College. A two-time recipient of the ASCAP-Chamber Music America Award for Adventurous Programming of Contemporary Music, the GCMF has been recognized as an innovator in programming and education outreach, receiving the 2010 Governor's Arts Award for Arts in Education. The Grand Canyon Music Festival receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), Western State Arts Federation (WESTAF), the Flinn Foundation, Chamber Music America, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, and the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
